Used Tata For Sale

“If we didn’t take this Indian auto manufacturer seriously enough when it arrived on our shores, we were wrong.”

What might have looked initially like a humble undertaking in the commercial vehicle industry has grown in leaps and bounds since their first arrival. It is a multinational automotive manufacturer behemoth based in Mumbai, owning both British marques, Jaguar and Land Rover. And while they still stick their badges on trucks, buses and bakkies alike, they also produce the Bolt hatch and sedan passenger vehicles plus the Super Ace EX2 LCV.

They join over a decade’s worth of second hand Tatas on our roads, such as the Indica, Vista and Indigo passenger cars plus Xenon bakkies. They’re competent if not desirable. But in truth, you’d only buy one if you couldn’t afford something with more badge equity. And I don’t necessarily mean like a Jaguar or a Land Rover.

Likes: Honest, cheap, cheerful motoring.

Dislikes: They’re appliance-like at best.
