Datsun Cars For Sale

“This fledgling brand got off to a rocky start when the first Go was launched in 2013. No more!”

With the 2018 relaunch of the Datsun GO 5-door hatch and GO+ seven-seater MPV, Datsun set about righting the wrongs of its predecessor by addressing its biggest flaw. Safety. The previous car deserved the nightmarish press it received for being incredibly unsafe, a zero-rated metal box bereft of ABS or airbags. In the 21st century, this was unacceptable.

And while the new car has not yet been tested, it does feature both of those safety nets – and it does so with updated styling and features. In the cabin you’ll find an Android Auto and Apple Car Play system now. The exterior gets sharper, more attractive aesthetics than before and to sweeten the deal the whole range now looks all the more resplendent in the sort of metallic colours you’d expect on the new Nissan Micra, its arguably posher cousin. And if this description of the Datsun brand seems more like a review of the GO and nothing else, it is simply because it is the only car the marque currently has.

That is until next year when the affordable Japanese sister of Nissan receives a sports car and SUV in its range. A just reward for a brand once so rich in iconic machinery.

Likes: Truly affordable, well-packaged, and now fairly-attractive city cars.

Dislikes: Safety will continue to be a concern, we’ll have to keep watching this one.
